Bärenreiter connects a lot with Mozart. The entire work of the ingenious composer has appeared in the scale-setting New Mozart edition of the Bärenreiter publishing house. In addition, the vast majority of compositions are available in practical Urtext editions based on the musical text of the New Mozart edition. There is hardly a musical area in which Mozart would not have done outstanding in his short life, including in piano music. His concerts, sonatas, four-handed works, but also many individual pieces belong to the standard repertoire.

This collection is directed to the young composer with three small pieces taken from the "Music Books of Mozart Siblings" (BA09177). The fantasy in D minor KV 397 (probably completed by August Eberhard Müller) as well as the Gigue G-Gur KV 574 from the band "Einzelstücke für Klavier" (BA05745) show the mature composer. The booklet appears as part of the publication of a number of popular works from the Bärenreiter program for the 100th anniversary of publishing.
